Survey Technical Support Specialist
Pay: CA$60,000.00–CA$75,000.00 per year
Job Description
Horizon Measurement Solutions is hiring a Survey Technical Support Specialist to provide in-house technical support for customers and internal teams across the surveying and construction industries.
This role is suited for someone with a strong technical aptitude who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems, and delivering exceptional customer support. You will work closely with customers, the sales team, and our service department to resolve technical issues and ensure customers get the most from their equipment and software.
What You'll Own
- Provide technical support to customers by phone, email, and remote access
- Troubleshoot GNSS/GPS equipment, Total Stations, data collectors, and surveying software
- Assist customers with equipment setup, configuration, and onboarding
- Support the sales team with technical product knowledge and application questions
- Manage service tickets and ensure timely follow-up and resolution
- Maintain accurate records of customer issues and resolutions
- Coordinate with service technicians when repairs or escalations are required
- Contribute to internal product knowledge and technical documentation

What You Bring
- Background in the surveying, construction, geomatics, or civil engineering industry
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of surveying equipment, software, and field workflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple customer requests simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of customer issues
Considered an Asset
- Experience with industry-leading surveying technologies such as Carlson, Leica Geosystems, Trimble, Topcon, Sokkia, GeoMax, Hemisphere GNSS, Juniper Systems, or similar
- Experience supporting GNSS/GPS receivers, Total Stations, laser scanners, data collectors, or machine control systems
- Experience providing remote technical support
- Experience using CRM or service management software
