Instructor, Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP)

Yukon College in Whitehorse has an opportunity for an Instructor to deliver payroll courses from the Canadian Payroll Association’s Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification program on an as and when scheduled basis.

In a blended learning environment, the Instructor will be responsible for:

Preparing and presenting weekly classes according to the course schedule;
Assisting students with the online course platform;
Tracking students’ progress and providing timely, formative feedback;
Assessing students’ Discussion Board posts and two written Assignments;
Proctoring the students’ midterm and final exams;
Liaising with the College Coordinator/CPA on all administrative processes relating to the students’ records.

The successful candidate will have:
Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification;
Minimum of 5 years payroll experience;
Demonstrated understanding of Adult Education Principles gained either through education or experience;
Strong computer skills/knowledge of MS Office;
Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving (verbal and written) skills.

Course(s) will be scheduled in the fall and winter 2018 terms.

Compensation will be determined based on the instructor’s education, industry background and teaching experience. Prior experience teaching the PCP Certification courses is preferred.

Courses will only run if there is sufficient enrollment.
