As an Senior Analyst, Audience Segmentation within the Marketing Intelligence team, you will be hands-on the Data Management Platform, audience planning tools, as well as the media buying tools, spearheading the inbound data integration, trait creation and taxonomy, segmentation strategy, identity resolution and integration of our targeting destinations.
This position will focus on supporting Loblaw Media exclusively. You will collaborate on a day-to-day basis with the Loblaw Media Strategy, Sales, Data, Insights & Analytics, and Media Execution teams on sales requests and audience segmentation strategies for our clients.
What you'll do
Work with Loblaw Media’s Sales team on requests to identify existing and new audience segments, including prospecting of new business
Query, mine, extract and transform raw data from our data warehouse using SQL to support various audience initiatives
Utilize our internal Audience Planning & Targeting tool to extract transactional data and generate audience lists and plush to the Data Management Platform (DMP) and various media buying platforms to support campaign executions
Create, maintain and activate traits and segments in the DMP as well as our media platforms to enable targeted media execution on behalf of Loblaw Media’s clients
Monitor segment sizes and match rates within our DMP, and across our media platforms, flag irregularities and recommend ways to improve the match rates
Support the aggregation of first party offline and online data within the DMP to create rich audience profiles
Manage the audiences within our different platforms (DMP, Facebook, Google Marketing Platforms)
Build audiences in support of audience centric measurement & reporting by the Data, Insights & Analytics (DIA) team
Provide audience insights and analytics to support Sales and Strategy teams
Work with the Solution Architect to develop, optimize and automate data processing tasks
Champion data governance and data stewardship, and monitor privacy features of our data platforms and provide recommendations on staying compliant with the current legislative environment
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes in the ad tech industry that could have an impact on the business
Does this sound like you?
A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Mathematics or Economics, with a solid understanding of data analytics
3+ years of experience implementing customer segmentation strategies with a solid understanding of segmentation principles, methodologies and best practices
Hands-on experience with Data Management Platforms (i.e. Adobe Audience Manager), web analytics platform (ex. Google / Adobe Analytics) and media buying platforms (ex. Google, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.) to create segments, push audiences live and prepare audience analysis
Solid ability to query transactional, loyalty raw data using SQL, and Python skills are a must. Experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery is a big plus!
Experienced to create and deliver persuasive presentations, POV statements, strategic and operational recommendations to internal stakeholders
Self-directed, proactive and able to define and execute projects independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of management
Curious by nature with strong analytic skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, multiple project environment on an independent basis and with minimal supervision
Comfortable with ambiguity and balancing multiple priorities/needs
