RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers and is accountable for execution of the scope of work on schedule
- Leads the engineering and design effort by providing technical oversight and collaborating with multiple engineering and design disciplines, supply chain management, document control and construction
- Leads the development of technical project documents such as the Design Basis Memorandum (DBM), studies and technical memos
- Monitors and maintains the project schedule and collaborates with project controls and other team members for effective change management
- Reports to the Project Manager on deliverable status, schedule and progress of project and provides input into Month End Reports (MER)
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with clients and works to identify value-add opportunities for the client
- Attends project meetings, HAZOPs, 3D Model Reviews and records meeting minutes and maintains decision and action logs (D&AL) as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years experience in a project engineering/coordination capacity
- Minimum 3 years of discipline experience preferably in process or mechanical engineering
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Degree in Engineering from an accredited University is considered an asset
- Registered professional engineer status with APEGA is considered an asset
- On-site construction support and management experience is considered an asset
- Experience with project controls reporting and MS Project is considered an asset
