Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes and fluid top-offs, ensuring customer vehicles are serviced efficiently and safely. Duties
- Conduct oil and filter changes on a variety of vehicle makes and models
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as fluid replacements, tire rotations, and belt inspections
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete service procedures accurately
- Inspect vehicles for potential issues and communicate findings to customers or service advisors
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
- Assist with additional mechanical repairs or maintenance as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions
- Support sales efforts by recommending additional services or products when appropriate
Skills
- Previous dealership or mechanic experience preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Good communication skills to explain technical information clearly to customers
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic sales skills to promote additional services or products when appropriate
