Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, especially in food preparation and food safety practices.
Duties
- Prepare and cook breakfast items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, maintaining proper food handling procedures
- Assist with meal preparation for various breakfast menu items, including eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats, and more
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing work surfaces and equipment
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Serve dishes promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Follow all food safety regulations and health department guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong understanding of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Ability to serve guests efficiently while maintaining high-quality food presentation
- Excellent knowledge of meal preparation techniques specific to breakfast cuisine
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in cooking and food prep
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is highly desirable
