Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Math Tutor specializing in Pre-Calculus and Calculus to support students in achieving their academic goals. This role involves working closely with high school students to enhance their understanding of complex mathematical concepts, foster confidence, and improve overall performance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong math skills, and experience working with diverse learners. Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in Pre-Calculus and Calculus tailored to individual student needs.
- Support students in developing problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning.
- Incorporate technology and computer skills to enhance learning experiences, including the use of educational software and online resources.
- Collaborate with Director of Education to monitor student progress and address specific learning challenges.
- Create a positive, encouraging learning environment that motivates students to engage actively with math topics.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and areas needing improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong background in mathematics, specifically in Pre-Calculus and Calculus.
- Prior experience working with high school students or in an educational setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Working knowledge of computer skills relevant to educational tools and resources.
- Experience with classroom teaching or tutoring, including familiarity with special education needs is a plus.
- Passion for education, patience, and the ability to motivate students of varying skill levels.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
