Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service. The Delivery Driver will operate a company vehicle provided.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and securing of cakes and dessert.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for tracking purposes.
- Communicate effectively with customers team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as required during deliveries.
- Previous experience in a delivery or logistics role is advantageous but not mandatory.
