Our Mississauga office is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities while providing exceptional service to existing customers. The successful candidate will be a consummate and credible sales professional selling Anixter products and solutions to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). This role is focused on new business development and is suited to people who are ‘sales hungry’ and who can exploit their exceptional sales skills with effective and successful results.
Develop Customer centric solutions by analyzing client needs.
Actively engage Anixter colleagues as well as external vendor partners regularly to provide a complete customer solution in order to capitalize on opportunities.
Prepare sales activity, expense reports and attend scheduled pipeline reviews.
Participate in sales meetings, professional association seminars and workshops as required.
Responsible for new and existing business. You are expected to be autonomous; however, you will work in close collaboration with the Inside sales, Global account Managers and the location manager for complex pitches and strategies.
Build strong customer relationships, loyalty, and retention.
Work in collaboration with the inside sales, operations, credit, finance and legal teams to ensure satisfactory completion of all processes that may affect your customers experience.
Work effectively with others in a team based environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
Other duties as assigned.
Reporting directly to the Location Sales Manager, the successful candidate for this position will possess:
Experience & Education:
Bachelor Degree / Certificate or diploma in an CET/ ICT discipline (asset)
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a sales role with in Electrical Industry.
Preferably has experience dealing with Large and medium sized OEM’S.
Must have a record of success in cold calling, qualifying leads, positioning value-added services and closing business.
Good knowledge of electrical and electronic wire and cable products.
Experience in selling electrical control products which includes but is not limited to: drives, power supplies, controls, relays, pushbuttons, and fuses (Asset).
Microsoft office and Lotus Notes
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
