The Role
We're hiring a full-time Drafter to build 3D models of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) services and support our project teams from estimating through closeout. This is a hands-on, varied position — you won't be stuck doing one thing all day. You'll work closely with our estimators, project coordinators, and field crews, and your drawings will directly shape how our jobs get built.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build accurate 3D models of MEP systems for active and upcoming projects
- Support the estimating team with takeoffs, layout drawings, and coordination markups during bid phase
- Produce red-line drawings to capture field changes and as-built conditions
- Assemble and assist with project closeout documents (as-builts, O&M manuals, record drawings)
- Coordinate with field coordinators and project managers to keep drawings aligned with site reality
- Flag clashes, constructability issues, and design gaps before they become field problems
What We're Looking For
- Solid working knowledge of 3D modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, or similar)
- Experience with electrical and/or MEP systems — formal training, trade background, or proven drafting experience all count
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
- Comfortable communicating with field crews, estimators, and PMs — not just sitting behind a screen
- Self-managed work habits — you can prioritize, ask the right questions, and deliver on time
- A genuine interest in the trade and the people doing the work
Nice to Have
- Background in the electrical trade (apprenticeship, journeyman experience, or technical diploma)
- Experience with closeout documentation and as-built workflows
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes
