We currently have a full-time opening for a Legal Assistant to support our Personal Injury, Class Action and Civil Litigation Team. We are committed to customer service and personalized attention to ensure each client receives the attention and receives the compensation they deserve.
Some of the responsibilities under this role include:
- Managing the overall operations of files (i.e., file openings, maintenance, and closings)
- Producing legal documents including preliminary drafting of correspondence
- Requesting medical, employment, and all other relevant supporting documents
- Interacting with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsels, medical practitioners, etc.
- Schedule or assign to support staff for appointments, trial, case planning conferences, applications, etc
- Assign tasks to Scheduling Coordinators, Productions or Intake Team as needed
- Maintain file organization
- Maintain bring forward system and court diary
- Handle associated legal administrative assistant tasks
- Support the management of client care
If you are a passionate individual who is committed to providing our clients with the best possible experience. Additionally, you must have:
- Worked a minimum of at least 1 year as a Legal Assistant in a Personal Injury practice; it’s a major asset if you have plaintiff litigation experience
- Successfully completed a Legal Assistant certificate or diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution
- A solid understanding of legal procedures and documentation with the ability to diarize dates independently
- A super organized routine and an ability of prioritizing and not missing deadlines
- A natural ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to be a team player while able to work independently
