Overview
Pending funding approval, MRON is looking to hire a Job Coach in Whiteway, NL for 30 hours per week for a period of 5 to 6 weeks. Successful candidate will be expected to provide onsite job skill training and employment supports to an individual with an intellectual disability. Applicants must be willing to work both outside and inside.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning up garbage outside on Council property
- Raking the ballfield sand/ cleaning out weeds from ballfield
- Changing garbage bins daily inside and out
- Clean Memorial Centre when needed
- Help set up for Whiteway Days
- Set up and clean up from Random Bingo
- Water vegetable beds in the community garden
Qualifications
- Minimum high school education
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and build rapport with diverse populations
- Ability to assess individual needs
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to empowering others toward independence
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team dedicated to client success. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about workforce development and making a positive impact in their community through professional coaching and support.
