Duties
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials around the worksite to ensure timely delivery for ongoing tasks
- Prepare work areas by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing tools and supplies for daily operations
- Support tradespeople by holding materials, operating basic equipment under supervision, and performing routine tasks as directed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting hazards promptly
- Assist in site cleanup at the end of shifts, including waste disposal and organizing tools for the next day’s work
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately
- Support other team members with miscellaneous duties to keep projects moving forward smoothly
Skills
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and reliably
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Reliable punctuality and a strong work ethic committed to completing tasks on time
- Nice-to-have: prior experience in construction or manual labor roles, or relevant certifications such as css safety training
