Manufacturing Company in Ottawa is seeking an experienced CNC Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC equipment, maintaining quality standards, and supporting efficient production processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery and equipment
- Maintain equipment, tooling, and workstations in safe working condition
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Input, edit, and interact with CNC machine controls and programs
- Perform machine adjustments and troubleshoot equipment or process issues
- Complete post-processing operations, including deburring, finishing, and assembly as required
- Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments and gauges
- Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements
- Perform routine maintenance and report equipment concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
Qualifications
- Previous CNC operating experience required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Familiarity with CNC controls and machine programming concepts
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training
