Job Description
Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (sending and receiving financial institutions, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to Visa accounts around the world using push payment technology. Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfers, person to micro-business transfers (e.g. payouts to shared economy providers), funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claim disbursements), and more. The push payments market is estimated to be more than 80 Trillion of payment volume globally.
We are seeking a Product Manager to join our Global Visa Direct cards team who is a self-starter and able to work both independently and as part of a team. A key driver of success will be the ability to focus on the highest priority activities in the face of rapid change and new information, and the ability to independently drive activities all the way to successful completion. Product management will be a focal point in our strategy to deliver world-class Visa Direct products to market, and the Product Manager role is a key piece of that vision.
Responsibilities:

Support the development of the Visa Direct product strategy, go-to-market plans, and product design documents (concept document, business case, product requirements)

Become knowledgeable on Visa’s products and support the Visa Direct product team in driving the development of product features and functionality, leveraging the strong foundation of existing capabilities where appropriate.

Identify new product and service opportunities and collect and document business requirements in support of new product features and functionalities.

Manage a complex and varied workload, requiring ownership of multiple ongoing product and solution development initiatives.

Analyze complex requirements and work with technology to propose multiple viable solution options & recommendations that meet client needs.

Collaborate with internal Visa teams (e.g., Ecosystem, Regional teams, Technology, Client services, Risk, and other applicable groups) to drive best in class client solutions and product offerings.

Build out unique, creative, and impactful solutions by integrating insights across Visa's many expert functional resources and supporting collaborative solution development.

Working knowledge of Project Management and Agile tools such as Jira Align and Confluence Wiki is preferred.

Work closely with cross functional stakeholders and partners to ensure on-time delivery of critical projects and programs.

Create presentations for internal approvals and discussions.

Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at various levels.

Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of implemented solutions and make necessary adjustments to optimize the performance.
Qualifications
8+ years of work experience (preferably in Payments) with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)- Ability to manage a complex and varied workload, requiring support and ownership of multiple ongoing product and solution development initiatives and providing product support delivering implementation projects.
- Ability to quickly learn about the internal Visa systems and their functionality. API experience is considered a strong asset.
- Previous product management experience in Payments is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with familiarity of payment systems (card networks, ACH, RTP, SWIFT, digital wallets)
- Possess fundamental product development skills from supporting the introduction of products features and/or improvements.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills and a proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines.
- Strong team player, self-directed and able to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities, data collection, strong decision-making abilities to raise issues at appropriate times.
- Possess or quickly develop subject matter expertise on the Visa Direct product, including platform expertise, market nuances, pricing economics, etc.
- Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way and strong documentation skills, including PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of standard project management tools
Note: This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees will alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
