Position Purpose
The Health and Safety Instructor, Course Design, and Delivery will be responsible for providing Your ACSA training programs using adult education principles to instruct, facilitate, and assess participant learning in both virtual and in-person settings. Working in partnership with your colleagues, leadership, and subject matter experts the successful candidate will complement our existing team of committed and enthusiastic professionals, working to ensure that our training meets ACSA's standards and the specific needs of our learners.
Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver and evaluate participant learning in a primarily virtual instructor-led setting, facilitating in-person training programs based on demand.

Serve as a content subject matter expert, providing valuable resources and insights.

Assist in the designing of learning environments and materials that adhere to adult learning principles and promote inclusivity.

Apply learning theory and technical expertise to create engaging educational experiences.

Support learning objectives and conduct needs assessments to better understand participants and their learning styles.

Utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools to enhance educational applications.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:
-
Post-secondary degree, diploma, and/or certificate in adult education, occupational health and safety, or related field.

National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO/NHSA) designation.
-
Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) designation.

Experience:
-
5+ years of related health and safety experience, preferably within the construction industry.

3+ years of experience facilitating courses in-person and online.
-
Multimedia technology experience, such as Adobe Connect.

Technology proficient, capable of providing technical support as necessary.

Logistics
-
Daily work hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

This position will have the potential for a hybrid work model (ACSA facility, home office).

This position requires some travel and weekend work.

Reporting to the Manager of Course Design and Delivery.
Salary: $83,557+ depending on experience and qualifications
