Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Barista to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving beverages and food items, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or the food industry, with strong skills in POS systems, cash handling, and food safety. Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Assist with food preparation and food handling following safety standards
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment and dining spaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer needs promptly and professionally
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to serve customers in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Prior experience in serving or food preparation is desirable but not mandatory
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends if required
