The Opportunity
The Machinist will be responsible for manufacturing components in a machine shop environment and will report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
Your level within the role will be determined by the skills and experience you bring when taking on this exciting career opportunity.

Junior:
Job Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret drawings and determine work and/or repair procedures
- Set up and operate to prescribe tolerances on lathes, mills, surface grinders, and saws
- Select mechanical measuring, checking and layout tools and devices
- Execute measuring, checking and layout operations
- Perform metal removing operations using hand and power cutting tools
- Fit and assemble parts and sub-assemblies to build special-purpose machinery
- Some heavy lifting
Job Qualifications:
- Completion of an Apprenticeship Program for Machinist and holds a General Machinist 429A Certificate of Qualification
- Minimum 1-3 years direct working experience
- The ability to Set up, program and operate ACU-RITE NC knee milling machines is an asset.
- HAAS CNC set up and operation is an asset.
- Positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, disciplined approach to work.
- Ability to work well as a member of a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
- Excellent judgment and strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand the financial impact of relevant options.
- High energy and the flexibility to perform under short time constraints to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Ability to travel.

Intermediate:

- Mentor and lead Apprentices, Junior, and Intermediate Machinists
Job Qualifications:

Competitive Annual Compensation: *$23.95 - $32.65 / hr.
*The actual compensation a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
