An established, busy, high-end furniture retail store is seeking a Delivery Assistant on a FULL TIME basis.

Position overview:
-Loading and unloading of furniture.
-Assisting with shipping/ receiving paperwork.
-Unpacking, moving and setting up products in the showrooms and the stock areas.
-Maintaining a clean and well organized loading areas and warehouse.
-Organizing and making deliveries of furniture orders to residential and commercial customers.
-Assisting in performing proper assembly and installation of furniture upon delivery. (i.e legs on sofa, bed assembly).
-All these activities and others are to be conducted with an eye to detail, with pride in a job well done, with diligent attention to safety and with every effort put forward to minimize damage to product and to property.
Qualifications:
-Must be able to speak and write English.
-Must be able to read and follow directions and understand furniture assembly drawings & instructions.
-Must be Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy items. Exceeding 50 lbs.
-Must have valid G drivers license. Clean drivers abstract.
-Must have a good knowledge of the city and be able to read a map.
-Must be able to safely handle light power tools and warehouse equipment.
-Must have some experience with furniture assembly and install. (Initial supervision and training is offered).
-Must have good customer service skills.
-Must be able to work with deadlines and quickly without sacrificing quality.
-Must be able to work as a member of a team.
-Must comply with company dress code.
References must be provided.
