McMan is looking for two House Parents for the Transition to Independence Program in Lethbridge.
This position is 6 pm – midnight, 3 days on, 3 days off.
Here’s how you will contribute as a House Parent within the Transition to Independence Program:
· Emulate positive lifestyle choices including but not limited to cooking practices, communication, boundaries, cleanliness, hygiene. Provide guidance and life-skills instruction in these domains and others, as applicable.
· Assist in creating a safe, secure, and supportive environment which respects the youths, their peers, and their rights to participate in all decisions affecting time.
· Promote and monitor good nutritional habits and health and safety practices.
· Provide crisis intervention and support to ameliorate crisis situations.

Here’s what you’ll need to get an interview:
· Completion of a Diploma/Degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work or Social Sciences or a related field; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
· Experience in family/youth work.
· Strong programming, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
· Current Standard First Aid CPR Level C Certificate.
· Clear Child Intervention Check and Criminal Record Check dated within the past six (6) months.
· Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, Driver’s Abstract, and use of reliable vehicle with $2M Third Party Liability insurance to carry passengers.
