Donair Dude Kitsilano is looking for an Opening Shift Team Member, who is hardworking, responsible, and enthusiastic Team Associates to join our growing team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service, and being part of a supportive team.
Duties
- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and assemble menu items including donairs, wraps, platters, and side dishes, and beverages.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including grills, fryers, and ovens.
- Maintain food quality and presentation standards.
- Handle cash and electronic transactions accurately.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Assist with food preparation, stocking, and inventory management.
- Keep the kitchen, food counter, dining area, and workstations clean and organized.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support opening and closing duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is an asset but not required.
- Experience in a shawarma, donair, or quick-service restaurant is preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and quality standards.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- Willingness to learn new procedures and take on additional responsibilities as needed
- On-the-job training will be provided to motivated candidates with a strong work ethic.
