Essential Responsibilities
- Operate a telehandler to safely move, load, unload, and place materials, equipment, and construction supplies throughout the project site
- Complete daily pre-use inspections and report any equipment deficiencies or maintenance requirements
- Follow site-specific safety procedures, lift plans, and manufacturer operating guidelines
- Transport and position materials in support of construction and industrial activities
- Work closely with spotters and site supervision to safely execute material handling operations
- Load and unload trucks and trailers while ensuring proper load securement and stability
- Maintain clean and organized laydown, storage, and work areas
- Complete required equipment logs, inspections, and documentation
- Adhere to all Ledcor, client, and regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements
Requirements
- 3+ years experience operating telehandler
- Valid telehandler certification / ticket
- Understanding of industrial site safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial or construction environment
- Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
- Valid issued government photo Identification
- Project-specific online orientations must be completed
Work Conditions
- 10 days on, 4 days off rotational schedule
- Extended health benefits provided through CLAC
- Weekly payment of wages
- Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed
- Candidates must reside in the Greater Edmonton Region
