Summary
Seeking CWB Qualified Welders for days and afternoons, proficient in CWB-certified welding(All Positions), with consistent success in all required NDT inspections, using MCAW/FCAW.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment MCAW/FCAW test
- Red Seal Welder or a minimum of 4 years of welding experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in air-arc gouging in all positions
- Ability to pass and maintain CWB weld certifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting welding procedures, blueprints, and drawings
- Able to weld mild steel and Stainless steel.
- GTAW would be an asset
- Fabrication skills would be an asset
- Good communication skills both written and verbal in the English language
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating overhead cranes with proper lifting and rigging techniques.
- Absolute attention to detail focusing on the task at hand
- Ability to work with moderate supervision in a team environment
Responsibilities and Duties
- Set up, adjust and shut down welding equipment as necessary
- Follow weld symbols on drawings and use written or verbal instructions as directed
- Ensure completed welds meet company and customer specifications.
- Able to perform Welds in all Positions
- Correctly Fill out all paperwork as required
- Operate all equipment in a safe, efficient manner following all relevant policies, procedures and relevant legislation
- General cleanup of working area, maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Physical Demands
· The employee must lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods.
· A full range of physical dexterity is required for this position including bending, lifting, twisting, pulling, pushing, crawling, crouching, stooping and reaching overhead with hands and arms.

Work Environment
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$41.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 56.0 per week
