The successful candidate will work as part of the Scheduling/Planning Team and be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Ensure compliance to all customer and drawing specifications
- Process and review work orders to update ENG Masters
- Review and update ENG Masters and Part Masters to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Schedule internal services by creating and issuing work orders, QC sheets and drawings
- Process, review, update and assemble work orders for production
- Issue purchase requests for supplier components
- Take corrective actions to expedite customer requirements as required
- Communicate current job status to internal stakeholders to ensure ontime customer delivery performance is met
- Attend continuous improvements meetings and complete projects, as required
- Understand the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
- Understand, update and follow the policies and procedures of our Quality Management System (QMS) and how it relates to Customer Service – both External and Internal
To be successful in this role, the qualifications needed are:
- Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or minimum 5 years’ experience in product processing/planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of machine shop, fabrication and assembly operations, procedures and processes
- Knowledge of inventory control and management
- Experience reading and interpreting 2D drawings
- Experience with Visual Manufacturing ERP
- Experience with quoting/estimating an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
