Our client is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Truck Driver to join their production and logistics team. This individual will be responsible for delivering finished customer products to the correct locations while ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and MTO requirements.
Position Overview
The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting finished goods to customer locations, supporting loading and unloading, maintaining accurate delivery documentation, and ensuring the company vehicle is kept clean, safe, and properly maintained. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, customer-service focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced plant and delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate the company truck in accordance with all MTO regulations and company policies. Transport finished customer products to the appropriate delivery locations in a timely and professional manner. Load and unload trucks as required, ensuring products are handled with care to prevent damage. Verify all products loaded by the shipper against the packing slip before leaving for delivery. Ensure all required paperwork is completed, signed by the customer, and returned to the Plant Supervisor at the end of each shift. Complete daily driving logs and required documentation accurately. Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns to the Plant Supervisor immediately. Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the company vehicle. Take the company vehicle in for scheduled preventative maintenance and service when required. Deliver customer orders in good condition while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. Follow all safety procedures while loading, unloading, driving, and operating around the plant. Support the plant and shipping team with additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s licence (Class - D or DZ) required:. Previous truck driving or delivery experience preferred. Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and MTO requirements. Ability to complete logs, inspection reports, and delivery paperwork accurately. Comfortable loading and unloading product when required. Strong attention to detail and ability to verify orders against packing slips. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Strong communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting with customers and internal teams. Ability to lift, move, and handle product safely as needed.
Pay: $20.00-$33.00 per hour
