Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health education, and support the overall efficiency of the dental team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, patient-centered environment where your skills and expertise will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist in patient examinations by recording medical histories and vital signs
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to develop personalized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols
- Support orthodontic procedures when applicable, including assisting with braces adjustments and related care
- Provide care for pediatric patients with patience and understanding, ensuring a positive experience
- Communicate effectively with bilingual patients to ensure clear understanding of treatment plans and oral health advice
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in the state of practice
- Experience with Dentrix or other dental office management software is preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including bilingual proficiency is a plus
- Prior experience in dental assisting or working in a pediatric dental environment is beneficial
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
