We’re seeking a Senior Analyst, Accounting (Temporary - 12 months, see below*) who will be responsible for entering investment transactions and reporting related to the private market asset classes. He/she will be also managing the collection of referential data related to private market asset class investments and underlyings in a timely manner. This data must be available and updated to ensure smooth operation of internal accounting and the various analyses produced.


As a Senior Analyst, Accounting (Temporary - 12 months, see below*) you’ll:
Analyze investments documentation to ensure all transactions are properly reflected in the investment accounting system based on their nature
Prepare complete, accurate and timely information for accounting, reporting and management purposes, at month end, quarter end, year-end and on an ad-hoc basis
Update the reporting system’s referential data fields on a timely basis
Reconcile and report investment transactions and daily cash activity reports
Manage data gathering on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, to ensure the proper usage of the reporting system and to support the group in various financial analyses
Develop and participate in various complex analyses for the department and senior management by analyzing the investment documentation
Take part in the extraction of referential data from the system to support the preparation of different reports for diverse users
Determine and document user needs in terms of referential data
Detect inconsistencies in the data set and devise appropriate corrective measures
Assist in various other tasks specific to the team’s activities
Good understanding of private market investment operations is an asset
Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance
Team spirit and ability to work in a high-performance culture
Highly organized and multitasking skills
Adaptability and flexibility
High degree of professionalism with strong spoken and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting
Professional designation (CPA-CA, CPA-CGA or CPA-CMA) is required
Minimum five (5) years related working experience
Experience in financial services or real estate investment sector is an asset
Bilingualism required (fluency in French and English)
Excellent knowledge of Excel and ability to quickly master computer systems
