Successful Applicant shall have sound knowledge of lawn mowing and edging, leaf blowing as well as basic maintenance knowledge of small lawn and garden equipment. For example maintenance as related to cleaning a lawn mower, refueling, checking to see if a fuel requires an oil additive for 2 stroke engine. Additionally weeding and cultivating / forking of shrub beds will be a regular work order item.
Heavy lifting and pushing is to be expected periodically throughout the day. The gardening crew services a regular group of homes on a weekly basis in North Vancouver, West Vancouver and Vancouver.
The daily pickup location is beside Park Royal Shopping Centre. Applicant should be able to arrive at this location for 7:15am, ready to clock in @ 7:30am. A typical day is 8hrs, though at times that may be increased to as much as 10hrs. The typical work week is Monday-Thursday.
