Join Our Growing Independent Pharmacy Team
Cunard Pharmacy & Clinic is looking for a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Downtown Halifax. We are a locally owned, independent pharmacy focused on providing personalized, accessible, and patient-centred care.
This is a part-time opportunity with a flexible schedule. We are looking for someone who can work a variety of shifts and who has availability on weekends preferrably. Flexibility is important as our scheduling needs may vary from week to week.
As a smaller pharmacy, our team works closely together. We are looking for a technician who enjoys a collaborative environment, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable contributing to different aspects of pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities may include:

- Completing technical checks in accordance with applicable Nova Scotia legislation and regulatory requirements
- Receiving and processing prescriptions from patients and prescribers
- Managing prescription adjudication and third-party billing
- Maintaining inventory, ordering, receiving, and stock management
- Assisting with medication reconciliation and other patient-care activities
- Supporting pharmacists with clinical and expanded pharmacy services
- Maintaining appropriate documentation and pharmacy records
- Participating in quality assurance and workflow improvement
- Providing professional and welcoming service to patients
- Assisting with general pharmacy operations as needed
- Working as part of a small team to ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
- A Licensed Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator
- First aid and Injection certified.
- Detail-oriented and committed to medication safety
- Organized and able to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player
- Professional, approachable, and patient-focused
- Adaptable and willing to assist with different areas of the pharmacy
- Interested in continuing to develop their skills and knowledge
- Available to work weekends
- Flexible with scheduling and willing to accommodate occasional changes or additional shifts when possible
Previous community pharmacy experience is an asset, but we welcome applications from newly licensed technicians who are eager to learn and grow.
Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Management Software is beneficial, but not essential.
