Responsibilities
- Support pharmacists in the preparation of compounded medications by measuring, mixing, and labeling ingredients accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant compounding area following safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with inventory management by stocking supplies, checking expiration dates, and placing orders as needed
- Communicate effectively with patients to gather necessary information and clarify medication instructions under supervision
- Understand and apply medical terminology related to pharmacy practice to ensure precise documentation and labeling
- Follow established protocols for medication administration support, ensuring patient safety at all times
- Document compounding procedures meticulously, adhering to regulatory guidelines and quality assurance standards
Experience
- NON-STERILE COMPOUNDING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience as a pharmacy technician or assistaint is required
- Experience with KROLL is an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks effectively
