Our translation service is looking for a proofreader and linguistic reviser for documents in French.
Your key responsibilities
As a member of a dynamic team of more than 50 people, the incumbent will be called upon to ensure the quality control and linguistic quality of various documents translated by their colleagues as well as documents from other ranges of services the within the Company.
Proofreading of financial documents (funds, financial statements, management reports) and other types of documents (service offers, PowerPoint presentations, brochures), and correction of spelling, usage, grammar, and syntax errors in the rules of art
Thorough checking of layout, entry of corrections and number concordance
Management of several simultaneous mandates and establishment of priorities
Establishing effective communication with group members as well as with clients and other members of the Company
To qualify for the role you must have
hold a bachelor's or graduate degree specializing in linguistics, literature, translation, or a related field
have at least three years of experience in proofreading and linguistic revision in a structured and supervised professional environment (experience in the financial field is an asset)
be able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines within a dynamic team of versatile professionals
have an excellent command of French and a very good knowledge of English, great rigor, and attention to detail
have the availability and flexibility to work outside normal working hours, as needed
