Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a compassionate approach to patient interactions, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment.
Duties
- Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures by preparing patients and equipment.
- Perform preliminary tests, including visual acuity tests, tonometry, OCT, Visual Fields and retinal imaging.
- Operate and maintain Ophthalmic equipment.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.
Experience
- Previous experience in ophthalmology or a related field is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient care and support.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
