Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive electrical knowledge, hands-on experience in industrial and construction settings, and the ability to interpret complex schematics and blueprints. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and renovation environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment efficiently and safely
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Perform low voltage wiring and connections for control systems and automation equipment
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications
- Assist in the planning and execution of electrical installations for new construction or renovation projects
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to complete projects on schedule
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used
Skills
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and automation systems
- Experience with construction sites, renovation projects, or similar environments
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues quickly using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile problem-solving capabilities
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety protocols, and best practices in the industry
