The successful candidate will be a core member of our field and laboratory services team and will work closely with TREK’s manager of the field and material testing unit. The individual will also be involved in technical operations, supervise junior staff, and aid in business development. Qualifications:
- Has completed Civil Engineering Technology Program
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Moderate computer skills
- Soils, concrete and asphalt testing skills will be considered an asset
- AutoCad skills will be considered an asset
- Surveying skills will be considered an asset
- Willingness to work overtime and outside the City of Winnipeg
- Comfortable on construction sites
- Geotechnical experience will be considered an asset
- Valid drivers' license
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in technical operations
- Conduct and supervise materials testing and quality control inspections
- Assist senior staff in geotechnical analysis, design and contract administration
- Complete Sub-surface investigations
- Undertake resident contract administration of construction project
- Perform geotechnical instrumentation monitoring
- Other engineering related responsibilities
