Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Cross Border B-Train Drivers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate B-Train tractor-trailer combinations across international borders, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of specialized freight. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will be vital in maintaining our high standards of safety and service excellence.
Duties
- Safely operate B-Train tractor-trailers across cross-border routes between Canada and the United States
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers to ensure safety compliance
- Secure, loads of glass as required by SOP
- Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, including customs paperwork and delivery logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and border officials to coordinate timely deliveries
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during operations
- work includes delivering loads to various provinces and being on the road for 1-2 weeks, depending on home location.
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license with B-Train endorsement for cross-border routes
- Proven experience with freight hauling involving oversized or specialized loads
- Strong understanding of cross-border shipping procedures and customs documentation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and border officials
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely while maintaining high attention to detail
