Pay: CA$25.00 - CA$35.00 per hour
Delta Valley Landscaping Ltd. is a leading general contractor based in Edmonton, Alberta, specializing in the creation of beautiful greenspaces, sports parks and earthworks for respected land developers and providing ongoing snow removal and lawn maintenance for some of Edmonton’s Largest commercial, industrial and residential clients. The Construction Foreman/woman is a permanent full-time, year-round position. Wage based on experience and performance. You will work directly with the General Manager to carry out the following duties:
General Responsibilities
· Supervise and train a crew of 2-8 landscapers as well as other sub-trades
· Supervise crew and equipment while assisting with work in progress
· Ensure work is completed in a safe and professional manner
· Work with coordinator on the scheduling of timelines for your project
· Work with coordinator on the scheduling of materials and equipment
· Complete required paperwork including daily reports and time cards for crew, logs and tracking of equipment and materials
· Hold daily and weekly toolbox meetings
· Interpret and complete projects using construction blueprints and scaled drawings
· An understanding of COE planting standards
· Problem solve all issues prior to and during project completion
· Maintain clean & safe job site
· Coach and mentor junior team members to maximize performance
· Collaborate with the team
· Adhere to safety protocols
· Ensure a clean and organized work environment
· Follow project timelines and complete tasks efficiently
· Completing daily logs, on company approved software
· Ability to work in any weather conditions
General Requirements:
· Own transportation to get to and from work
· Cellphone for GPS, communication with management, completing all required forms
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
· Valid Drivers License

· First Aid is an asset

· Experience with Ball diamond construction and artificial sports fields is a major asset as well as planting and constructing to city of Edmonton design standards
