JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Kineisiologist, under the direction of the Director or Manager of Rehabilitation/Clinical Supervisor - Branch level, is responsible for completion of professional activities that include: assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients requiring therapeutic intervention, in accordance with professional standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • University Degree in respective profession as required by the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario
  • Certificate of Registration with respective College and malpractice insurance
  • Related experience in the assessment and treatment of clients with various injuries or conditions; work related injuries, mental illnesses, MVA /WSIB/Employers and/or experience in the third party health care system
  • FAE, job coaching, return to work planning and report writing skills preferred; Disability Management skills also preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates appropriate and effective written, oral, and nonverbal communication skills.
Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the assessment of clients, establishment and ongoing evaluation of treatment programs including job coaching, goal setting and discharge plans.
  • Maintains current accurate clinical records according to standards set by College of Kineisiologists of Ontario. Documents assessment results, goals, treatment, client progress and discharge plans.
  • Collaborates with other members of the health team as needed.
  • Communicates pertinent information and recommendations to clients/care providers and provides education regarding treatment strategies as needed.
Other Responsibilities
  • Maintain active standing in College of Kinesiologists of Ontario.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external education activities
  • Adhere to Bayshore Therapy & Rehab Policies and Procedures
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System
  • Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel
  • Complete other tasks as requested
