We are a television broadcast company seeking a talented and versatile Production Assistant and Video Editor who is highly skilled with Adobe After Effects to join our team. This role will support project management and pre-production tasks while also handling post-production and video editing responsibilities. This position is a temporary contract to cover a maternity leave, with the possibility of a permanent position in a similar role thereafter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing production projects, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to schedules
- Support pre-production activities, including scheduling, coordination, and resource management
- Conduct research and gather necessary information to support project development and execution
- Collaborate with team members to meet project goals and deadlines
- Edit and assemble recorded footage into polished final projects that align with the producer’s vision, suitable for television
- Create engaging promo videos and commercials from scratch for social media and television marketing materials
- Integrate camera footage, dialogue, music, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to produce cohesive and compelling stories
- Utilize Adobe After Effects and other editing software to enhance video content with visual effects, transitions, and motion graphics
- Ensure high-quality output that meets both creative and technical standards
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a professional video editor with a strong portfolio
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software, including Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, and Final Cut Pro
- Proficiency in After Effects, 3D, and compositing
- Experience creating promotional videos and editing TV programs is preferred
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity in editing
- Strong creative mind with exceptional storytelling skills and attention to detail
- Must have your own equipment and software, including high-speed internet for handling large video files remotely
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting
