Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. We are looking for an experienced Packaging Developer to join our team 100% onsite in Guelph. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, modification, and improvement of packaging processes for pharmaceutical and medical device products. You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, compliant, and high-quality packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and evaluate packaging solutions focusing on Quality by Design and automation for efficiency and safety.
- Lead problem-solving for packaging processes, equipment, and activities.
- Prepare documentation including Risk Assessments, Engineering Trials, and Master Batch Records.
- Provide packaging expertise during client meetings and on-site visits.
- Collaborate across teams (Project Management, Technical Transfers, Validation) to meet project objectives.
- Perform alternating or rotating shifts as required.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years in packaging design and development in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
- Proficiency in packaging design (plastics, glass, metals) and regulatory compliance (FDA, Health Canada, GMP).
- Strong skills in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and materials testing.
- Experience with data analysis tools (Minitab, Excel) for stability and quality testing.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
