The responsibility of the CNC Operator is to produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies, as well as utilizing CNC- files from in-house generated models.
This includes the following:
· Reading and understanding drawing to verify CNC files are accurate
· Operate overhead crane to place material on plasma table
· Inspect parts using various measuring devices
· Housekeeping duties as required
· Ensure company safety procedures are being followed
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
· A minimum of one (1) years of similar experience; ideally within a Structural Steel environment
· Excellent computer skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Experience in a manufacturing environment
· Ability to multitask on various projects at the same time and manage the priorities
· Should be extremely professional, reliable and organized
· Ability to maintain a good working relationship across all levels
