Miller Precast Ltd. has an immediate opening for a yard attendant/machine operator at our manufacturing plant. The yard attendant/machine operator performs the following tasks:
- Load and unload trucks with product
- Load retail customers with product
- Transport product and materials to and from the manufacturing plant
- Pick orders, gather and package components, etc.
- Maintain an organized and clean yard
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/abilities:
- Experience operating a forklift
- Experience operating a front end loader considered an asset
- Ability to move trucks, unhook/hook up trailers, etc. considered an asset (no license required)
- Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
- Experience with rigging basics considered an asset
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a calm and positive attitude in fast-paced environment

The position is full time. Normal hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Start and end times may vary depending on schedule requirements etc. and the odd Saturday morning may be required (generally only a few times per year). The position is based out of our manufacturing plant and no travel or out of town work is required. The position pays $27-$30/hr (based on relevant experience) plus benefits and pension, with overtime paid after 44 hours per week. Own transportation is required as public transportation is not available.
