Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Clerk to support daily operations at our Canada Post outlet, while also assisting with front store responsibilities.
This role is ideal for someone with prior Canada Post retail experience who can work independently, handle transactions accurately, and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesCanada Post Retail Duties
- Provide full postal services including shipping, mailing, and parcel processing
- Assist customers with packaging, postage, and delivery options
- Handle transactions (cash, debit, and credit) accurately
- Process returns, registered mail, and other postal services
- Maintain accuracy, organization, and security of mail and parcels
- Ensure full compliance with Canada Post procedures and policies
Front Store Duties
- Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers as needed
- Operate the cash register and process transactions
- Stock shelves and maintain product displays
- Rotate inventory and monitor expiry dates
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment
- Assist with receiving and organizing inventory shipments
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience working in a Canada Post retail location (required)
- Previous retail/customer service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid cash handling and basic math skills
- Ability to work independently and multitask efficiently
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Schedule
- 20–40 hours per week based on business needs
- Must be available for flexible shifts, including weekends
- Ability to cover sick days and vacation shifts as required
