Position Summary:
The Commercialization Engineering Technologist is a site based technical role responsible for enabling robust commercialization, process scale up, and sustained manufacturing performance of new and existing products at the Hillmount manufacturing site. The role ensures products are translated from development intent into stable, repeatable manufacturing processes that meet quality, safety, delivery, and cost objectives. Through disciplined engineering trials, process validation, and risk mitigation, the role drives right first time execution and manufacturing readiness prior to commercial release.
Acting as the primary site technical owner for assigned product portfolios, the Commercialization Engineering Technologist leads line trials, establishes process parameters and control strategies, analyzes performance data, and resolves technical issues during launch and ramp up. The role partners closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Packaging Development, and cross functional stakeholders to ensure manufacturability, process capability, and post launch stabilization. This position is critical to maintaining manufacturing continuity, strengthening process control, and delivering value realization and agility initiatives within a fast paced, high complexity production environment.
Lead site technical execution of the commercialization process for NPL projects, ensuring products are translated into stable, repeatable manufacturing processes that meet ELC specifications, quality standards, and defined cost targets.
Provide site technical capability assessments, equipment constraint analysis, and manufacturing feasibility input to support manufacturing location and NetLoc decision making. Proactively communicate site manufacturing requirements and process constraints to R&D, Packaging Development, and upstream partners to ensure product design, formula, and packaging solutions align with site capabilities and performance targets.
Maintain cross functional communication throughout commercialization to ensure site manufacturability, validated process parameters, and confirmed line readiness prior to product release.
Collaborate with Packaging Development, Brand Quality, Supplier Quality, R&D, and Process Development to translate product design intent into executable manufacturing processes and clearly defined site success criteria.
Lead site pFMEA risk assessments to proactively identify production risks and ensure mitigation actions are embedded into control plans, standard work, and process settings prior to launch.
Participate in and support dFMEA activities with Development teams to mitigate potential design failure and provide manufacturing feasibility input.
Plan, execute, and document site based Engineering Trials and End to End Line Verification Runs, establish validated process parameters, confirm critical control points, and verify process capability prior to commercial release.
