About the Role
As our Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, you will play a critical role in establishing operational excellence at our newest facility. This role is ideal for a technician who combines deep mechanical knowledge with adaptability, initiative, and problem-solving ability.
You won’t just repair equipment — you’ll help build the foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy duty equipment for our Hyundai Heavy Construction Clients and for our Rental Fleet
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections for both lines of business
- Repair and service mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Conduct component replacements and rebuilds
- Identify root causes of mechanical failures
- Maintain accurate service and repair documentation
- Support shop setup, organization, and workflow improvements
Mechanical Expertise Required
This role demands strong practical mechanical experience, including:
- Engine diagnostics and repair
- Powertrain systems (transmissions, driveline components, differentials)
- Brake systems and suspension components
- Hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repair
- Mechanical assemblies and component rebuilds
- Wear component replacement and alignment
- Preventative maintenance procedures
- Failure analysis and root cause diagnosis
The ideal candidate is comfortable working across:
✔ Mechanical systems
✔ Hydraulic systems
✔ Electrical systems
✔ Structural and component-level repairs

✔ Proven heavy duty mechanical experience
✔ Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
✔ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
✔ Broad mechanical aptitude across multiple systems
✔ Strong understanding of equipment operation and failure modes
✔ Safety-focused, reliable, and detail-oriented
✔ Excellent time-management and organizational skills
