Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Storekeeper to oversee inventory management and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in warehouse distribution, heavy equipment operation, and inventory control systems. This role is vital for ensuring efficient storage, shipping, and receiving processes within our facility, supporting manufacturing and construction projects. Candidates with warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with warehouse management systems are highly preferred. The Storekeeper will play a key role in maintaining accurate stock levels, organizing storage areas, and ensuring safety compliance across all warehouse activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Perform order picking, packing, and fulfillment to support operational needs
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements for shipping & receiving documentation
- Assist in organizing warehouse layout for optimal space utilization and accessibility
- Conduct regular inspections of heavy equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Support shipping & receiving operations by preparing goods for dispatch or storage
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and inventory accuracy
- Follow safety procedures related to heavy lifting, machinery operation, and general warehouse activities
Experience
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
- Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance of warehouse equipment is a plus
- Prior work involving order fulfillment, packaging, load & unload operations, or construction site logistics is advantageous
- Previous experience in warehouse experience or construction environments will be considered an asset
