Are you passionate about culinary creativity and interested in being part of a dynamic kitchen? Habitat Social, a modern Canadian restaurant known for its innovative fusion cuisine, is looking for a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our talented team.
Responsibilities:
Food preparation: Following recipe to make sure all sauces and proteins are ready for service.
Station Cooking: Responsible for frying and charbroiling. May rotate with other stations including working at the pass, participating at the chef's table, and catering.
Cleaning and sanitizing: Keeping the kitchen clean and organized by washing dishes, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing equipment.
Following food safety guidelines: Following food safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Other duties as assigned: Assisting with any other tasks as assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager.
Qualifications:

Prior experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, but not always required.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects.

Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.

Work permit with no restriction

Food handling certificate
