Position Overview
SWAT Consulting Inc. is seeking an outgoing, energetic individual to fill a full-time role for an
Environmental Data Scientist to support our growing Project Support Services team. This
position can be based out of either Calgary, Leduc, or Grande Prairie, Alberta, with remote work

We are looking for an exceptional individual who will be responsible for providing Data
Management deliverables and support for new and ongoing environmental projects. These
deliverables and tasks may include but are not limited to borehole logs, environmental data tables,
historical data extraction and tabulation, statistical models, database administration, and data
entry. The Environmental Data Scientist will interact with a multi-disciplinary team of
environmental professionals on a number of diverse and exciting projects that could be occurring
concurrently and on quick turnarounds due to regulatory-driven deadlines. SWAT will provide a
mentorship program to ensure you are given the correct knowledge and skill set to thrive in your
career and represent our high-quality standards. The office-based role requires the candidate to be
available to work on evenings and weekends on an as needed basis for efficient program execution.
Responsibilities
- Prepare environmental data tables and borehole logs to support decision making.
- Prepare ground disturbance packages and emergency response plans.
- Ensure the quality of deliverables being issued meet project and corporate standards.
- Communicate with the field and office leads about aspects of the project.
- Manage large volumes of deliverables effectively.
- QAQC processed data and complete quality checks.
- Perform all assigned training and follow office safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Report to the Manager of Project Support Services and communicate workload, as well as
opportunities and challenges to ensure our team continues to learn and progress.
- Support the continual development of SWAT’s quality control and assurance standards.
