Job description
We are looking for a motivated, personable sales representative for our Dawson Creek location. This position will be full time, 5 days a week, including some Saturdays. This position will report to the management team and be part of a strong retail team, who enjoy the outdoors and specialize in customer service and sharing your product knowledge for firearms and outdoor recreation, to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service every time by assisting customers making purchases and identifying and evaluating their needs, and making purchasing decision based on their feedback
- Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining product knowledge of current trends and changing technology that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
- Ensure your department is well stocked and merchandised, show casing seasonally relevant stock
- Assure daily standards are met by, housekeeping, building maintenance, but not limited to in store signage and merchandising, and dusting the sales floor as needed
- Manage inventory by receiving and stocking merchandise
- Process sales transactions and maintain accurate records of sales
- Pack and ship merchandise to customers and suppliers using appropriate shipping methods and carriers
- Receive and process incoming shipments from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and completeness of orders
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Experience in a retail or customer service environment
- A non-restricted and restricted Firearms Possession Acquisitions License (PAL) is an asset, but not a requirement for this position
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically able to stand for extended periods of time and to move heavier merchandise up to and including fifty pounds from the backroom to the sales floor
- General knowledge of fishing and or hunting and personal experience is an asset
- Willingness to learn shipping and receiving procedures
