The John McGivney Children's Centre provides paediatric therapy services in the Windsor-Essex County community, enriching and celebrating the lives of children and youth with disabilities to help abilities grow, by providing child-focused, family-centred care. Summary of the Role:
Reporting to the Autism Supervisor, the Instructor Therapist will:
· Work directly with children with Autism delivering programming at the Entry to School Program.
· Work to ensure that the clients’ goals and outcomes are being achieved through implementing lesson plans, following defined behavioural strategies, and preparing materials.
· Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
Qualifications:
· College Diploma or University Undergraduate Degree in a related field, as well as a Graduate Certificate from the Autism and Behavioural Sciences Program.
· Experience working with children with Autism and Applied Behavioural Analysis are definite assets.
· Experience working in a high energy, fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility to adapt to change quickly and easily.
· Must have an understanding of childhood development and comfort in appropriately engaging children and youth in play.
· Current first aid and CPR are required.
· Must be able to work successfully in a family-centred, and team environment.
· Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; must be able to work independently, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a physically demanding environment.
· Must be available to work flexible hours, as required.
· French Language Proficiency is an asset.

Hours of Work –37.5 hours per week
