Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through attentive service, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of our menu offerings. Your ability to manage time efficiently and work collaboratively with kitchen staff will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing them with menus.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, specifically Square POS, ensuring all details are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Upsell menu items and promote special offers to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing tips according to restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in both the dining area and service stations, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Square POS, is a plus but not required as training will be provided.
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members.
